Centre Manager 

Dampier Seafarers Centre

 

We are currently (2024) seeking a Full Time Centre Manager to join the team to oversee the operations at our Dampier Centre in our day to day provision of services to visiting vessels and crew.

You will ideally have business / retail qualifications and experience.

Your primary responsibilities would be to manage all centre & retail operations under the oversight of the Chaplain & Executive Officer. 

The position comes with a house in Dampier.

Transport Officer

Dampier Seafarers Centre

We are seeking Casual Transport Officers & Drivers with a C or LR class Licence (automatic or manual licence) to work as part of the team for transport driving. 

 

Your primary responsibility would be coordinating and undertaking the overall transit of seafarers. This could be transport from their ship/terminal to the Centre for shore-time, or from the Centre to Karratha City shops and return, or from ship/terminal to the airport/hotel/hospital or visa versa. 

 

Other responsibilities include the maintenance, refuelling and cleanliness of the Centre's vehicle assets, to ensure the ongoing delivery of excellent Transit and Centre operations.

This is a residential position only, ideally suited to someone already located in Karratha/Dampier.

Senior Chaplain

Port Hedland Seafarers Centre
 

We need an evangelist who is passionate about sharing Jesus in a cross cultural context.

You will also be passionate about caring for the unique needs of seafarers, many of whom spend months away from home.

You will lead the team at the Centre which offers spiritual and practical care to seafarers who visit when they come into Port. The Centre provides onshore recreation, wifi, food, Christian literature, currency exchange and shopping.
